Are you looking to take your talent further and progress in your creative career but wondering how you will be able to fund your studies?

BIMM understand that studying at university can be a challenging financial commitment, which is why they offer several scholarships and bursaries to help you achieve your ambitions, whatever your background.

Launching for September 2024 entry, the new Future Talent Scholarship provides full 4-year tuition fee for the BA (Hons) Commercial Modern Music and BA (Hons) Music Business courses. This is aimed at candidates from low-income households and/or groups under-represented in the creative industries. BIMM are looking to support those who demonstrate talent in their chosen discipline, strong creative potential, and a high motivation for a career in the creative industries.

The scholarship offers financial support, a supportive training environment, and a skills and career development programme designed to support progression to future careers in the creative industries.


Who can apply

You can apply for the Future Talent Scholarship if you:

  • are applying to study in the upcoming 2024/25 academic year, and
  • are an Irish/EU national, and
  • are from a low household income, and/or
  • are from an under-represented group in higher education*

*Under-represented groups include students who are:

  • from a global majority background
  • residing in Ireland as a refugee or housed in Direct Provision
  • a care leaver, care experienced or estranged
  • from a single-income household
  • a member of the Travelling community
  • part of the LGBTQ+ community, or from a gender-diverse background
  • have a disability

The BIMM Dublin campus is spread between two buildings – our main building in Francis Street in Dublin City Centre. An additional location is a short distance away in The Coombe.

The two-storey Francis Street building comprises of six large teaching studios, a live performance room, tutorial suites, a student common room and a resource center. The three-storey building in The Coombe consists of the ground floor. Over the coming years the remaining two floors will be developed to include a recording studio, teaching spaces, computer rooms and tutorial suites.

Our high-tech equipment and software is provided by the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers who actively support and endorse us. These include Yamaha, Fender, Cornford, Marshall, Mapex, Mesa, Boogie, Vox, Ampeg, Peavey, Hiwatt, Orange and Roland.

Our BIMM Dublin tutors are all very active in the local Dublin music scene and beyond, and between them. They have been nominated for Ivor Novello awards, contributed to movie soundtracks, coached some of the world’s greats in their craft, and toured the world with major bands. Put simply, they’re really well connected and eager to pass their knowledge, experience and guidance onto you.
