For more than thirty years, the Family Firm Institute (FFI) has been engaged in educating, connecting, and inspiring professionals who serve family enterprises.
FFI has always been about excellence, fostering academic research, encouraging best practices, and inspiring professionals for more than 30 years. Each year FFI honours excellence in the field by granting academic, achievement and FBR awards.
This week the FFI announced the 2021 Academic Award recipients. These awards will be presented at the FFI Conference in October.

Towards a theory of legacy: The proposal, development, and validation of a family legacy orientation scale by Nathaniel Hammond (Mississippi State University).
Best Unpublished Research Paper Award
The Best Unpublished Research Paper Award is awarded annually after a blind peer review of all submissions. Papers may be on any topic of relevance to the understanding and appreciation of family firms and/or family firm advisors.
