Graduate Launchpad will help you gain specialist skills that will help develop your professional career in the world of film and media. The Graduate Launchpad features a range of tutor experience, and industry sessions designed to successfully navigate your transition into the creative workplace.
Graduate Launchpad (Film and Media) at IADT
The course is organised into a wide variety of dynamic sessions – including online and pre-recorded sessions with opportunities for networking on the IADT campus. You will be looking at your professional development under three themes:
- Who am I? Define your professional identity and discover the next steps to take on your career journey.
- Making a living? Whether you are interested in freelancing, part or full-time careers our experts will give you advice on a range of funding opportunities and residencies to support your dream career.
- What’s next? Discover a variety of career pathways including exciting job opportunities, post-graduate and Erasmus schemes.
Timetable
2nd June: Online: Introductory session, 6pm
3rd June: Online: Meet your Mentor, 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm
7th June: Online: Who are you?, 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm
8th June: Online: Working in…, 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm
9th June: Networking event at IADT Graduate Exhibition (optional), 5pm – 7pm
10th June: Online: Thinking, (work on your project and talk to mentors), All day
13th June: Online: What’s next? Career opportunities and planning ahead, 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm
14th – 15th June: Tutorial support, feedback and completion of your project work.
Entry Requirements
- A Level 7 or Level 8 Award.
- Applicants without a Level 7 or Level 8 qualification may be considered through the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) process.
The Graduate Launchpad is offered free of charge.
The course is funded by IADT and the Creative Futures Academy, under the Higher Education Authority’s Human Capital Initiative.
