Certificate in Advertising and Editorial Photography
The Certificate in Advertising and Editorial Photography is a 12-week, Level 6 course which introduces learners to creative photography for newspapers, magazines, publishing, and design agencies. You’ll be introduced to the role of photography within communication design and will be provided with an understanding of the importance of materials, techniques, and terminology related to specific creative and technical processes in photography and advertising. Creative thinking, ideas generation, brief solving and shooting to fit a layout are also incorporated.
Certificate in Motion Design
Learn the principals of Motion Design with this two-semester long, Level 8 practical course. Motion Design combines the fundamentals of both graphic design and animation – it is the art of applying graphic design principals to create relatively simple pieces of animation, for the web, TV or film. This means working on both 2D and 3D animation, using software such as After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro. This might be a credit sequence for a TV show or movie, or it could be a minimalist commercial or explainer video, such as an advertisement.
Certificate in Web, Interaction and UX Design
This Level 7, Certificate in Web, Interaction and UX Design focuses on an introduction to development and application of digital design skills in the context of web, interaction and user experience (UX). This part-time course is comprised of two modules – Web Design and Interaction Design – delivered over 6 months. You will gain a valuable knowledge of and skills in key subject areas of web application and develop practical skills used for the design and management of online communication.
Certificate in Advanced Web, Interaction and UX Design
This part-time, Level 8 course is comprised of three modules – Web Design, Interaction Design and Advanced Web Design. Learners will gain a thorough understanding of concepts, theories, methodologies, and practices within UX, interaction design, and user interface design. The programme also focuses on usability and advanced concepts of commercial web design and development. As well as knowledge of and skills in key subject areas of web application and develop practical skills used for the design and management of online communication.
