“At a time when we are being asked to consider life in a new normal, the ability to understand cross disciplinary research and build relationships that support our ability to work together towards new understandings is more critical than ever.” – Sheena Barrett, The LAB Gallery
IADT Course: MA Art + Research Collaboration (ARC)
Open to artists, critics, curators and those working with art in other roles, the ARC programme connects art with many other disciplines through the study of art research methods, professional development, collaboration, production, and specific major projects. The programme culminates in a curated group exhibition. Students and graduates have developed projects connecting art with archaeology, architecture, craft, design, education, engineering, fashion, film, history, geography, geology, philosophy, psychology, publishing, science and theatre.
Delivered over 18 months, it is developed in consultation with project partners Dublin City Arts Office, led by the LAB, the Irish Film Institute (IFI) and the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), and features Irish and international visiting curators, critics and artists.
