The Centre for Adult Learning & Professional Development at NUI Galway, in collaboration with the 30% Club, has launched the MSc in Technology Management Scholarship. Starting in September 2018, this scheme aims to advance female leadership and executive representation in technology organisations. Presently, the NUIG scholarship is valued at €15,800 and will be awarded on a competitive basis.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 29th July 2018.
Globally, the 30% Club creates partnerships with Universities to fix the under-representation of women at senior levels. Presently, this is unquestionably apparent in the technology sector.

About the 30% Club Ireland
Launched in January 2015, the 30% Club Ireland aims to achieve gender balance and diversity at all levels in Irish businesses. The 30% Club is a collaborative, business-led effort to make real change. Their goal is 30% female representation in senior management by 2020. The 30% Club believes that gender balance on boards and in executive leadership roles not only encourages better leadership and governance but also contributes to improved company performance and promotes innovation.
Brid Horan, co-founder of the 30% Club Ireland, expressed the organisation’s immense gratitude to NUI Galway for their practical support for gender balance in business. ‘The addition of a second scholarship in 2018 for the MSc in Technology Management to the Exec MBA scholarship offered in 2017 demonstrates commitment and an appreciation of the particular challenge of developing female talent in this sector.’
