The National Youth Council of Ireland have launched the Skills Summary e-learning course for youth workers and those working with young people.
Skills Summary is an easy to use online tool that measures the skills young people gain by participating in youth work and volunteering opportunities, building their confidence, so that they can better communicate the value of these essential skills to future employers.
The course comprises of six modules that you can do at your own pace in the order you prefer.
Skills Summary is a partnership project between the National Youth Council of Ireland, SpunOut.ie, and Accenture. It is funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and recognised as a measurement tool in the Youth Employability Initiative.
To participate fully in this online course, you will need:
- A relatively quiet space for you to concentrate.
- Speakers or headphones as this course uses video and audio.
- A pen and paper or an open Word document to record any questions, reflections, comments you might have.
- A desktop, laptop, tablet or a mobile phone. This course is mobile friendly, but you might prefer using a desktop computer if available to you.
