About Bord na Gaeilge UCD Summer School
Language classes will be held each day, Monday to Friday, from 9.30am until 1.00pm. These classes will be offered at five levels and the emphasis will be on developing the participants’ spoken language skills.
Lectures will take place in the afternoon, Monday to Thursday, in which the focus will be on various aspects of the Irish language and culture – folklore, for example, placenames, literature and the singing tradition. School participants can choose to attend an Irish language version or an English language version of each lecture; the speaker will deliver the talk in one language and then, after a short break, he/she will give the same talk in the other language.
