This 10-credit part-time programme focuses on developing knowledge and skills in molecular biology, genetics and the current and emerging laboratory techniques used in modern veterinary practice. Graduates of the Certificate in Animal Biotechnology will gain an understanding of areas such as animal genetics, selective breeding and lineage traceability, and how molecular biology can be applied in the in the construction of genetically modified organisms within the animal setting.
