Courses That Award: Honours Bachelor Degree
An Honours Bachelor Degree is awarded after a student studies for three to four years and acquires 180-240 ECTS credits. However, there are examples of programmes in several fields such as architecture, dentistry and medicine which can be longer in duration. People graduating from secondary school or anyone with equivalent qualifications can start this course. Students in these programmes have the ability to transfer across higher education. Also, there are a few courses which last one year that can earn a student an Honours Bachelor Degrees (if they already have an Ordinary Bachelor Degree). Institutes of Technology, Quality and Qualifications Ireland, and Universities are able to award an Honours Bachelor Degree.
