Courses That Award: Masters Degree
When it comes to the on the National Framework of Qualifications, the Masters Degree is at Level 9. There are two types of Masters Degree in Ireland. Firstly, there is the taught Masters Degree. This is awarded following the completion of a course of one to two years duration. People looking to study for a taught Masters Degree will usually hold Honours Bachelor Degrees but sometimes applicants with Ordinary Bachelor Degrees can be accepted (depending on the programme). Research Masters Degree courses last for two years and favour self-led study. Institutes of Technology, Quality and Qualifications Ireland, and Universities are able to award a Masters Degree.
