This Bicycle Mechanic Technician programme aims to develop learners key skills and understanding in building, servicing, repair and maintenance of all types of cycles.

Mandatory successful completion of online modules (listed below) is required prior to practical training.

Online access is granted approximately 4 weeks prior to practical training. It is estimated that online training takes approximately 40 hours in total.

5 days full-time practical training (32 hours) will take place on-site in Baldoyle Training Centre:
o Frame Components
o Tool Overview
o Saddle Adjustment
o Removing and refitting pedals
o Handlebars & Stems
o V Brake fitting and adjustment
o Truing a wheel
o Gears rear derailleur

Learners can progress to an Advanced Bicycle Technician Course following successful completion of the standard course.
