This module has been designed to enhance the understanding of the fundamentals of Direct Current and Alternating Current as applied to basic networks in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Installations.
It also provides a grounding in understanding final circuits in Electrical Installations and provides an introduction to Electricity Regulations in an Irish context.
The programme will, in addition provide a basic understanding of Electrical control circuits for Industrial Applications. The module will allow the learner to install basic final circuits in a controlled environment and perform tests as required on these circuits.

Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme Progression on to Process Control & Instrumentation. Students who successfully complete this programme may proceed to the Process Control & Instrumentation programme. |
