“EmpowerYouth” as featured on Fox Business News
The Ground-breaking Global and European Award Winning “EmpowerYouth” health and wellness male grooming skills training workshops is already 5 months old since its formal launch, it is available for 12-18+ to be booked for TY / SPHE / wellness classes for the 2024/2025 Academic School Year.
Training workshops for 12-18+ during TY (Transition Year) or SPHE (Social, Personal, and Health Education) classes is a fantastic way to enrich students’ educational experience and promote holistic well-being. With essential life skills workshop that covers shaving skills and techniques for boys, personal hygiene, footcare, nailcare, diet and nutrition, cancer awareness, mental health, suicide awareness, man brow styling and haircare.
Here are some key benefits of integrating such workshops into the academic curriculum:
- Knowledge: being aware of risks that can be reduced by the simple self checks on a monthly basis can literally save lives.
- Mental Health: normalising the conversation around mental health will ensure our boys, teens and young men can avail of the support available to ensure they have happy, healthy lives.
- Empowerment: by providing male grooming skills training workshops, students can develop essential self-care and grooming skills that contribute to their overall well-being and confidence.
- Life Skills: Learning grooming techniques not only enhances students’ physical appearance but also equips them with valuable life skills that they can carry into adulthood.
Currently it is offered as a one time workshop. The workshops are at least 2 hours. The programme is delivered in a space suitable to showcase demonstrations! As well as the theory and background it’s uniqueness lies in the fact that it is very practical to teach the guys the skills to cut nails both hands and feet,
We would need a volunteer or volunteers willing to have;
- a mini Pedicure (nail cutting and file – hard skin removal (if any) and moisturising, *1 volunteer
- a mini manicure (nail cutting and file with moisturising) *1 volunteer
- We will teach the boys how to shave, this includes a pre-shave routine (cleanse, exfoliation) The actual shave techniques and post shave (tone and moisturise with spf) 1. volunteer (if appropriate the next 2 points could be showcased with this volunteer)
- Man brow styling and facial hair styling
- Hair styling
Oncology (male cancer awareness) Educating the boys on how to perform their chest(breast check) and testicular checks, when to get advice and what to look out for!
Mental Health awareness – overview of what supports are available, what to look out for not just for themselves but their friends and what strategies they might use to deal with periods of stress or being overwhelmed by life events.
