Course Description
MSc in Computing (Taught Programme)
The aim of this taught Master Degree programme is to produce graduates with an advanced level of theoretical knowledge and practice, with highly developed research capability, innovation and entrepreneurial skills to enable their professional development in the IT industry. This programme has been partially funded by the HEA IT Investment Fund.
Graduates wishing to extend their breadth and depth of knowledge in both the technical and managerial aspects of software development, and their ability to instigate and manage research projects, are suitable candidates for this programme. The programme offers an up-skilling opportunity for practicing software developers who have worked in industry for a number of years and now wish to broaden or update their technical knowledge and formalise their management skills. Recent graduates will also find the programme a natural and complementary progression from their undergraduate degree programme.
Students who successfully complete the programme, with the exception of the Research project, will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma.
The programme starts in January. Admission is via Portfolio and Interview. Details of the admissions process will be published in September.
