Who is this PMP® course designed for?

This course – and the PMP® certification itself – is designed for experienced project managers.

When you speak with our training consultants, we can guide you through the PMP® exam requirements and advise if it is suitable at this stage of your career.

Unsure of Your Experience?

Our PMP® exam preparation course runs alongside our Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® course.

The CAPM® certification is another well-respected PMI® qualification. It is ideal for those with no or little project management experience.

As both exams work from the same syllabus, we find that running the training together is very beneficial for those who feel they may be ready for the PMP® exam, but aren’t 100% sure. During training, you can opt to go for the PMP® or CAPM® exam once you get a sense of your own confidence with the material.

Why PMP® Certification?

The PMP® qualification is a fantastic achievement for any career project manager. With it, you are identified as a high-performing professional, capable of delivering consistent project excellence.

This certification is recognised on a global scale, which opens up opportunities for travel and work with large, multinational organisations.

How to Get PMP® Certified:

1. Attend Training: The first step is to attend training that fits your schedule and your quality requirements. One of the PMP® exam requirements is to provide evidence of 35 hours of formal project management training. Our PMP® exam preparation course meets these requirements.

2. Study & Practice Exams: Following training, we recommend that our delegates get started on their study plan as soon as possible. Study is easiest when the knowledge and guidance is fresh.

Timelines for the study period vary from person to person. On average, between 6 and 8 weeks is a good guideline for the study period required.

3. Apply for Your Exam: Once you feel ready, begin the online exam application process with the PMI®. Many students complete this application once they feel confident about how long they will need for study and exam simulator access.

4. Sit Your Exam: Schedule and sit your exam within 1 year of submitting your application. The exam is 4 hours in length.

How to Maintain Your PMP® Credential:

The PMP® Credential is one that must be maintained by earning PDUs (Professional Development Units).

To maintain your credential, you must earn 60 PDUs within each 3-year cycle. This cycle begins on the day you pass your exam.

1 PDU is equal to 1 hour of professional development activities, such as further training.
