Purchasing Strategy Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma
This certificate in Purchasing Strategy, Quality Management and Lean Six Sigma is designed to provide participants with specific knowledge of procurement and quality across many sectors. It will give participants the tools they need to understand the fundamentals of the purchasing role – it is about getting the right product, in the right quantity, at the right quality, in the right place at the right time, for the right customer at the right cost whilst continually focusing on quality and eradicating waste from your processes. It is designed to appeal to those who are looking to re-skill or upskill within this Sector.
The applied nature of this programme is reflected in the combination of procurement and quality which focuses on developing the students knowledge of purchasing strategy, quality management and Lean Six Sigma process. All participants will improve their knowledge, IT skills and commercial awareness.

Entry Requirements | Institute of Technology Carlow requirements for Level 6 programmes. If a candidate is under the age of 23, they will need a full FETAC Level 5 award or 5 passes in the Leaving Certificate. Candidates over the age of 23 will be regarded as mature students and may apply directly. Where applicable students may use the Institute RPL policy for admission. |
